Battery foil is used as a collector for lithium-ion batteries. Typically, the lithium-ion battery industry uses rolled aluminum foil as the positive electrode collector. Lithium batteries typically come in two types of shapes: cylindrical and square. The interior of the battery adopts a spiral wound structure, which is separated by a very fine and highly permeable polyethylene film isolation material between the positive and negative electrodes. The positive electrode includes a current collector composed of lithium cobalt oxide (or nickel cobalt lithium manganese oxide, lithium manganese oxide, lithium ferrous phosphate, etc.) and aluminum foil. The negative electrode is composed of a current collector composed of graphitized carbon material and copper foil. The battery is filled with an organic electrolyte solution, and is also equipped with a safety valve and PTC components (some cylindrical use) to protect the battery from damage in abnormal conditions and output short circuits.
The tip of ultrasonic soldering iron vibrates at ultrasonic frequencies. This vibration induces cavitation in the molten solder, which breaks up and removes oxides and promotes wetting.
