Ultrasonic Brazing Of Foam

The honeycomb structure of the foam material has good shock absorption, sound insulation and high strength performance. In the aviation field such as aircraft manufacturing, foam aluminum and foam graphite have important applications, but the connection of the foam material is a difficult point.

Ultrasonic soldering irons and solder wires developed by Cheersonic are fortunate to participate in brazing research and experiments in this area, as shown in the following figure.

Finally, ultrasonic brazing achieved a good connection of the interface. The brazing interface was found to have extremely low porosity by ultrasonic C-scanning, which satisfies various performance indexes of brazing.
